Greenbuddies built the largest agri-PV in Germany
A unique agrivoltaic project called Triticum (Latin for "wheat") has been launched in the German village of Oberdorf am Lech, combining the cultivation of agricultural crops with the production of electricity from the sun. The project is being implemented by the Greenbuddies team for German investor MaxSolar and, with a capacity of just under 17 MWp, is currently the largest agrivoltaic power plant of its kind in Germany.
PV Output: Comparing Simulation and Reality
Simulations of electricity generation from photovoltaic power plants are a fundamental tool in project design and assessment. They are used for technical system dimensioning, economic evaluation of return on investment, and as a basis for bank financing or grant applications. However, simulations are always only estimates—not guaranteed outputs. Actual production may vary due to operating conditions, technical losses, or site-specific characteristics. In the following article, we will look at how simulations differ from actual production using several real PV systems as examples.
