Greenbuddies Team

Who are our Buddies behind the Greenbuddies solar projects? Get to know them! This time we introduce Fanny Spacek, Sales Buddy for the French market, Jitka Liskova, who works as Finance Buddy, and Adam Lempera, our Chief Procurement Buddy in the purchasing department.

Fanny Spacek - Sales Buddy

  • What is your position, and how would you describe your agenda?

I am an Account manager. I seek out new clients, identify promising projects to be built, promote Greenbuddies to potential clients while establishing and nurturing trust. Additionally, I stay informed about market trends and the challenges they present. I also allocate a substantial portion of my time to working closely with the sales, purchasing, and project management teams to provide our clients with competitive proposals.

  • What's the best & worst thing to happen since you started working with Greenbuddies?

The most rewarding experience for me has been witnessing my client’s confidence in the company, as evidenced by their continued assignment of projects. This affirmation truly validates the effort and time invested in each endeavour. Conversely, the most challenging situation arises when a client is unresponsive to any constructive dialogue.

  • The interest in your work seems to be growing. Why do you think that is?

The industry is truly captivating, necessitating a broad understanding that spans construction, engineering, administrative considerations, and ecological factors. This diversity of elements must be considered to develop the most effective solutions.

  • What has surprised you most about working with Greenbuddies?

Achieving harmony and success in a challenging field, where certain aspects may remain unpredictable, is a notable accomplishment. Greenbuddies consistently find solutions that serve the interests of all stakeholders involved.

Jitka Lišková - Finance Buddy

  • What is your position, and how would you describe your agenda?

My position is Finance Officer, which includes economic, financial, and accounting agendas. I process the initial documents—invoices, other payables, reimbursements, advances, payment plans, and credits that arrive at the company. Once they are approved, it is the turn of payments as due and then liquidation in the accounting software. The position is on a close working basis with an external accounting firm, controlling, purchasing, and last but not least, as a support to the project managers. The work involves necessary correspondence or communication with suppliers. The outputs are written into the budgets of the individual projects in order to track other follow-up indicators of spending according to the financial plan. While this is a repetitive activity, it is nevertheless an adrenaline rush at times. Without diligence, financial accountability, training, and not least time flexibility, this job is not for everyone.

  • What was your first impression of Greenbuddies? Did anything surprise you?

First impressions were positive. After my experience in the non-profit sector, I felt a friendly, welcoming atmosphere again. Greenbuddies is like one big family with common goals. Given the rapid rise and expansion of the company, synergy across departments was necessary. After three years with the company, I can confirm that there has been an integration of progressive processes and that there is a drive to develop and improve them further.

  • What do you do when you're not working?

With regard to my daily sedentary job and work at the PC, I spend my free time actively. I like to be outdoors, cycling, skiing, and hiking. I enjoy travelling and exploring new places. I enjoy meetings and events with my family or the company of my friends. I can relax with a book and in the kitchen.

  • What do you think will change in the world of photovoltaics in the next 5 years?

I think that photovoltaics will continue to have a green light, not only in the country but also worldwide. By continuously developing technology and improving PV panels and power plants, solar energy will become more affordable and more efficient, contributing to a more sustainable and greener world. Research is moving towards the development of panels with higher efficiency and longer lifetimes. Thanks to new materials and technologies, photovoltaic panels will be able to generate more solar energy even in lower light conditions. Advances in solar energy storage will also be key to future PV development. New types of batteries and systems will be needed to store and use solar energy even when the sun is not shining. Photovoltaics are certainly a good commodity in which to invest.

Adam Lempera - Chief Procurement Buddy

  • What is your position, and how would you describe your agenda?

I'm the captain of the purchasing department. And like a good captain, I take turns at the helm, determining the direction we should take and paddling with my colleagues to get us as close to our destination as possible.

  • What project are you currently working on? What's interesting about it, and why do you enjoy it?

I am mainly working on optimising and streamlining purchasing processes. This doesn't just apply to materials and components for construction. It also concerns the partner assembly companies. The issue of subcontractors in particular is very important and requires a great deal of attention. We need to improve both the portfolio of partners with whom we build plants and their quality and reliability. In procurement, we will now be much more involved in the selection, competition, and evaluation of subcontractors. This is the No. 1 priority for this year. Speaking of priorities, the next one down the line is the internal ordering system, which is currently not entirely satisfactory. We will expand it and link it to other systems so that those systems work as much as possible for us, not us for them. To make it all easier.

  • What was your first impression of Greenbuddies?

My first impressions in GB were very positive. Coming from a completely different corporate background, I experienced a bit of culture shock at first, but in a good way. It's nice to work in an environment that is challenging but where there is a nice atmosphere.

  • What might surprise someone about you?

I'm addicted to croissants, hamburgers, and kefir. Not necessarily in that order.
