Dear readers and business partners,
Welcome to our quarterly update, where we share what we’ve been working on at Greenbuddies over the past months and what lies ahead.
One of our most significant milestones was the completion of the largest Czech co-location of PV and BESS in Modlany (42 MWp PV and 35 MW BESS), delivered by us as the EPC contractor. Co-located and standalone BESS projects are now a key focus for us, both in the Czech Republic and internationally. In addition to completed projects such as Radvanice (12 MWh) and Bernburg in Germany (30 MWh, currently under construction), we are working on several others, which we will soon share through our usual channels (blog, LinkedIn, media). Large-scale battery storage is central to our strategy not only because we develop and invest in these projects, but also because we operate both our own and client-owned assets through our subsidiary, the flexibility optimizer Greenbuddies Solutions, which is active in the Czech Republic.
As mentioned earlier this year, Italy is one of the key solar markets for 2026. Our local Italian team organized Greenbuddies’ participation at KEY – The Energy Transition Expo in Rimini. At our stand, visitors could learn not only about our completed projects in Italy but also about those currently under construction or in development. And there are quite a few. One example is a 30 MWp tracker-based project in sunny Sicily – a place not only for holidays, but also for work.
On the other side of Europe, in Sweden, we completed a similarly large project, Stensamlaren, which truly tested our company motto, “The Unstoppables.” The name translates to “Stone Collector,” and not without reason – we encountered rock almost everywhere during construction. This required a systematic and precise approach. We stabilized slopes where necessary and maintained construction progress without major disruptions. Tablet-based pile monitoring and a dedicated quality check application proved very helpful. Fortunately, we embrace challenges, and our installation teams are not discouraged by difficult ground conditions.
If you would like to learn more, or simply discuss something else, feel free to reach out.
Kind regards and wishing you sunny days,
Dan Štajner
Chief Sales Buddy
