The project site is situated south of Rotterdam in a specific area between several motorways and a railway line leading towards Paris. Conditions on the construction site were relatively challenging in terms of implementation. Whilst some parts of the site were flat, other sections were on a slope and had soft ground, which required the construction process to be adapted to the specific conditions. The power station’s location also placed increased demands on logistics, the movement of machinery and the handling of materials during construction.
The Greenbuddies team carried out the necessary construction and installation work and coordinated the project, taking into account the specific conditions of the site. The project thus represented further experience in the construction of ground-mounted photovoltaic power stations in a technically and logistically challenging environment, where it was not possible to rely solely on standard construction procedures. The project also demonstrated the team’s ability to respond flexibly to varying terrain and geological conditions and to adapt the organisation of work on site accordingly.
