Steady growth and holding transformation
Greenbuddies have celebrated another successful year in 2024, reaching a net turnover of CZK 796.6 million (32.3 million EUR), marking a year-on-year increase of 2.34%. This result confirms the group’s stability and potential on the European renewable energy market. A key milestone was the establishment of the holding structure, Greenbuddies holding a.s., which now oversees several subsidiaries, including Greenbuddies Energy and Development.
Projects in Europe and new technological directions
In 2024, Greenbuddies operated successfully in over 18 European countries. The company entered the Irish market, opening new growth opportunities, alongside established markets such as Germany and Belgium. In the Czech Republic, noteworthy projects included installations for Ravak (500 kWp), P3 Logistic Parks (280 kWp), and a solar carport at Coca-Cola’s Prague headquarters. A technologically advanced example was the Sudslav project, where part of the installation uses tracker systems.
Despite slower market development in some regions due to permitting delays and reduced investment activity, Greenbuddies maintained an above-average growth rate. The European solar market grew by approximately 10%, with newly installed capacity reaching 65.5 GWp. Commercial installations showed strong momentum, while the residential sector declined.
Looking ahead to 2025, Greenbuddies aims to strengthen project management, engineering, and procurement capabilities to meet increasing demand for turnkey PV solutions, including carports and tracker technologies. The group is also closely monitoring global developments—especially trade flows between the US and EU—to prepare for any potential supply chain shifts.
