A new solar power plant has been built in the northern German municipality of Silberstedt, completely implemented by the Greenbuddies team. The 24 MWp project is the result of cooperation with Intec Energy and leading European energy player Vattenfall.

Comprehensive scope of installation work

The Greenbuddies team took care of all the mechanical work. This included driving piles using a GPS ramming machine, mechanical installation of the structure and panels, and all DC and AC electrical installations, including construction management and project management.

A total of 43,686 solar panels with a capacity of 550 Wp each, 80 inverters, and 16,180 piles were installed. The structure was supplied by Pradecon, the piles by Pradecon and Meiser.

An important reference and another step in our expansion

The Silberstedt project underlines again the Greenbuddies team's ability to handle challenges that can arise during such projects in a professional manner. We are pleased to have brought this project to a successful conclusion with its connection to the grid.

Greenbuddies cooperation with Vattenfall

Greenbuddies collaborated with Vattenfall on the 24 MWp Silberstedt ground-mounted solar park in Germany. Vattenfall is one of Europe’s leading energy companies, operating across Northern and Western Europe and focusing on the transition to fossil‑free energy. The company is actively developing and operating solar power plants across Europe, often combining photovoltaics with energy storage and hybrid solutions as well as paving the way for agri-photovoltaics, the combination of solar power generation with life stock and crop farming.

Vattenfall is currently running Germanys largest agri-pv-park “Tützpatz”. Vattenfall is also a major player in onshore and offshore wind energy, with some of Europe’s largest offshore wind farms located in the North and Baltic Seas. In addition, the company invests in innovative sustainability projects, including research into marine ecosystems such as seaweed cultivation around offshore wind farms, aiming to support biodiversity and explore new renewable resources.
