As part of a project in southern Italy, Greenbuddies is carrying out a complete overhaul of five 1 MWp photovoltaic power plants, converting the original fixed-mount installations with central inverters into a modern solution featuring Comal trackers and Sungrow string inverters. The project involves dismantling the existing photovoltaic system, installing a new tracker system and photovoltaic modules, complete DC cabling, string wiring, and subsequent testing. The project is being carried out near the Italian coastal city of Termoli, where the steeply sloping terrain and uneven surface present a significant technical challenge. Thanks to its experience with repowering and revamping, Greenbuddies ensures the modernization of older PV plants with the goal of increasing their efficiency, output, and long-term operational reliability.
